Bríd is adventurous in her approach to art making and works in a variety of media: textiles and embroidery, printmaking, acrylic ink, spray paint and stencils, furniture up-styling. Bríd takes constant inspiration from fashion and design. She looks to multiple sources drawing ideas from fashion magazines, books and photographs, creating mixed media artworks that incorporate playful pops of colour and pattern.
Brid was a joint recipient of an Arts and Disability Connect Award in 2021, to develop her print making skills with Cork Printmakers. Her work culminated in a group exhibition at MTU Crawford College of Art and Design called Observations in Print.
Bríd worked as an artist in residence with Mayfield Centre Arts for a decade as part of Cúig supported studios. During this time, she co-facilitated creative workshops in print and drawing with groups of all abilities.
