Mary’s mixed media artwork celebrates the everyday, she shares the comfort she finds in her teddy bear collection, her enjoyment of fish fingers, ‘the good things in life’. Mary works with pastel, pencils, photographs and words.
In 2022, Mary Rose worked with photographer Clare Keogh to create an artist’s video portrait. Mary Rose has previously exhibited her work at Sirius Arts Centre, Cobh, Infusion Art Café at Merchant’s Quay shopping centre, Alchemy Café Cork and Crawford Art Gallery. She also participated in a collaborative Erasmus+ project called Open Studio: Expanding Realities. Mary Rose was a long-term member of Glasheen Supported Studio (GASP).
