Perceptions: The Art of Citizenship

Perceptions 2016: the Art of Citizenship was a citywide multi-venue exhibition, showcasing both national and international artists from supported studios. With the 1916 Irish Proclamation functioning as a curatorial touchstone, the exhibition curators wanted to pose questions about creative citizenship, equality of access, and participation within cultural spaces. It was a partnership project led by Crawford Art Gallery, Cork City Arts Office and MTU Crawford College of Art and Design (formerly CIT Crawford College of Art and Design). You can access extensive web resources put together by Jess Carson, including information on the artists, supported studios internationally, recordings, video, essays and more here
